Because the common ingredient in soda and soft drinks is often sugar, namely high fructose corn syrup, they are considered to be empty calories. A new contextual pie menu, through which interactions with objects and characters were controlled, replaced the older menu and inventory interface. Featuring animated full motion video and action sequences, it set out to out to be the first of the next-generation of adventure games.
